Since our foundation in 2012, our mission has been to get books into the hands of children who may not have access to them in Houston. Throughout the year, we collect new and gently-used books, sort them, and prepare them for distribution to children in the Houston community.
Book Celebrations
We primarily distribute books through our school partners program where we partner with local elementary schools or early childhood centers to hold book celebrations. At each celebration, every child gets to select six books to take home and keep.
Community Partners
Our community partners program allows us to partner with organizations providing literacy programming or family engagement activities to children and families in Harris County. We work with partners who have relational equity with children who are in need of books.
